DO YOU BULK BILL?
Yes we do. If you have a Medicare care plan, we are able to bulk bill your treatment session. You may be eligible for up to 5 sessions per year covered by Medicare. Please see our Services Page with more information regarding Medicare Care Plans.
We also bulk bill your consultation to your Workers Compensation Insurer, ICWA/Motor Vehicle Claim as well as DVA. If you want a longer consult with our Physiotherapists, you can pay a gap fee. The choice is yours!
Private Patients are not bulk billed, but we do offer discounts for Concession Card Holders (Seniors Card and Health Care Card Holders). Please bring evidence of this to your appointment. Please call our receptionist for our current prices.
DO YOU SEE NDIS PATIENTS?
Yes we do. We can provide services to both self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Our team works closely with you to ensure your therapy goals are met.
WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
We offer a wide range of therapy services including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, speech therapy, and group classes such as Reformer Pilates, inclusive movement classes, and senior fitness. We also have a kids therapy gym and sensory room available for all ages and abilities.
WHEN SHOULD I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE A PHYSIOTHERAPIST?
Physiotherapist’s are all University trained to ensure your injury is thoroughly assessed and correctly diagnosed. There are many circumstances that you should see a Physiotherapist. Some of the most common include:
If you have any bruising, swelling, stiffness or a deformity
If you have sustained an injury (at work, in a car accident or playing sport)
If you’re experiencing muscle or joint aches or pains
If you have pins and needles or numbness
If you would like advice on weight loss and exercise programmes
If you experience muscle weakness or joints giving way
If you have problems with your balance or falling
If you need advice on exercise or improving strength, fitness or flexibility
If you are returning to work or sport from an injury or surgery
If you want to improve your sporting performance
If you’ve recently had a baby, and are experiencing pain
If you have problems with continence
If you've recently had surgery and need rehabilitation
This list is by no means exhaustive and if you have a question about a specific problem you should talk to a Physiotherapist.
DO I NEED A REFERRAL?
Generally no you don't. We are University trained to be a first point of contact for any injuries or ailments and trained in assessment and treatment.
If you are coming to see us for a DVA/Workers Compensation/Motor Vehicle/ Medicare Care Plan Consultation, we do ask that you please get a referral from your GP prior to your appointment as otherwise your treatment may not be covered by the Third Party Payer.
Please note: Veteran’s Affairs clients do need a doctor’s referral, but once a year is usually fine. If you already have a referral it is good for 12 months.
HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED?
Typically, patients find that resolving their pain and achieving lasting relief requires a series of 5-7 treatment sessions.
During this time, our expert therapists work closely with you to address the root cause of your discomfort. Alongside hands-on therapy, you'll receive a personalized exercise program designed to empower you in managing your condition independently.
Our goal is not just temporary relief but equipping you with the tools for long-term self-care and wellbeing.
HOW LONG IS A SESSION?
Session lengths vary depending on the service. Typically, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and exercise physiology sessions are 30 to 60 minutes. Group classes range from 45 to 60 minutes.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN THE SESSION?
Your first session will involve an initial assessment where we discuss your health history, current condition, and goals. Based on this, we will create a personalised treatment plan to address your specific needs. We then can provide hands on therapy or an exercise program.
HOW LONG DOES A CONSULTATION TAKE?
Initial Consultations are 30-60 minutes in duration. During this consult we will ask you several questions and perform a series of tests to come to the root cause of your injury. We will then give you the appropriate treatment and give you a home exercise program to assist in your recovery.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to complete our new patient forms. Alternatively we can send you our new patient forms via email or text message to fill in at your leisure before your appointment.
Subsequent consultations are 20-60 minutes in duration.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
If you have a referral, please bring this along with you. If you have any scans (X-rays, MRI’s, ultrasounds etc) or any other important information related to your complaint/injury, please bring them and give it to your Therapist.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. If you're attending a class or gym session, activewear is ideal and so is closed in shoes. For other therapy sessions, just ensure you are comfortable.
DO I NEED A SCAN DONE BEFORE I COME?
No, you don’t routinely require a scan prior to treatment. Your Physiotherapist will ask you a series of questions, and on very rare occaisions we will refer you on for further imaging to assist in your treatment.
I HAVE PRIVATE HEALTH, HOW MUCH WILL I BE OUT OF POCKET?
If you have ancillary/Extras cover on your Private Health you should receive a rebate on our services (including groups and classes run by our Allied Therapists).
Depending on your level of cover and who you are insured with, your rebate will vary. We recommend that you check with you individual health fund to find out exactly what you get back.
BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Unforeseen circumstances happen. It’s what life is all about! In consideration for our practitioners and other clients, it is expected that if you are unable to attend or need to change your booked appointment, you provide us with as much notice as possible, so we can offer your appointment to those on our waiting list. You can call our clinics, even during after hours and leave a message, or email our reception team to let us know.
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Our Therapist's strive at all times to adhere to their schedules. Clients who arrive late to their appointment may receive a shorter treatment in an effort not to inconvenience other booked clients.
Clients who fail to attend their scheduled appointment may be billed a no-show fee, subject to the discretion of management and this will need to be paid before you can re-book.
Cancellations within 8 hours may incur a fee, subject to the discretion of management.
Please note that if it is a Third Party Payer they will not cover the no-show or late cancellation fee.
DO YOU DO HOME VISITS?
We are pleased to offer home visit services for clients receiving Home Care Packages, NDIS funding, DVA benefits, as well as private clients. Our team of experienced therapists will come directly to your home, providing high-quality care in the comfort of your own space. HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?

ACCOUNTS AND BILLING?
Please get in touch with our reception team for our schedule of fees and pricing. All payments must be made at the time of service. Insurance, Workers’ Compensation, Medicare and Department of Veterans Affairs claims may differ. We accept cash, EFTPOS and credit card payments.
Should you wish to claim your health fund rebate at the time of your consultation, please ensure your private health card is presented at each appointment. Clients who do not present their private health card will be billed the full amount, and the rebate can be claimed through your insurer via receipt.
CAN CHILDREN USE THE THERAPY GYM & SENSORY ROOM?
Yes! Our kids therapy gym and sensory room are designed for children of all abilities to help them develop gross motor skills, coordination, and sensory integration in a fun and engaging way. We encourage our clients to visit the sensory room during their visit/appoitment and use of the sensory room is free of charge with a therapy booking.
If you want to use the Sensory Room, but you are not a patient attending an appointment, you may book the room for a 30 minute session which costs $15. This can be booked online or give the Malaga clinic a call on 6285 6185.
ARE GROUP THERAPY CLASSES SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES?
Absolutely! Our inclusive movement classes and group therapy sessions are designed for people of all abilities. We create a supportive and welcoming environment to ensure everyone can participate and enjoy the benefits of movement as well as a sense of community.
CAN I COMBINE DIFFERENT THERAPIES IN MY TREATMENT PLAN?
Yes, our multidisciplinary team often works together to provide holistic care. Depending on your needs, you may benefit from a combination of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, and more.
HOW DO I KNOW WHICH THERAPIST IS RIGHT FOR ME?
We will guide you through the process of selecting the right therapist based on your condition, goals, and preferences. Whether you need help with pain management, rehabilitation, or movement improvement, our team will match you with the right professional.
Our lovely reception team will usually be able to direct you to the right therapist, but as we always want the best outcome possible for you, they may get the Clinic Director Kirsty to give you a call to triage your appointment, or get you to speak to one of our Occupational Therapists.
